The anonymous nature of the sitter with her head turned gives a mysterious air to the painting, and the violet range of colors is so lovely.Diana Moses Botkinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06254521493118166524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032042591265058150.post-19084622652847015122013-02-06T08:18:08.477-06:002013-02-06T08:18:08.477-06:00I love these portraits you've been doing. Next time, plan to paint a winner and use good stuff (much more important to oil and acrylic artists, I think, who can take off paint and start over than watercolorists like me = if it doesn't work, the paper can't be reused except as scraps of things for collage). I like this and the story, too.RH Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497161758269292809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032042591265058150.post-27633587315281325412013-01-22T18:46:34.849-06:002013-01-22T18:46:34.849-06:00Beautiful.Beautiful.Karen Brusonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06916969404160852607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032042591265058150.post-78382650755834035092013-01-22T11:23:10.321-06:002013-01-22T11:23:10.321-06:00i can see the line but it doesn't bother me on...i can see the line but it doesn't bother me one bit shirley, this is just beautiful. bruce said it...wonderful color harmony. this painting sings! i've been using that a lot, but only when i believe it and this is one of your best. no worries about the line, the painting is all i can really see.

and thank you so much for your kind words on my blog. much appreciated.suzanneberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702748663139114422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032042591265058150.post-75964626122443078092013-01-21T19:09:15.667-06:002013-01-21T19:09:15.667-06:00it is a good lesson reminder for me too...and she ...it is a good lesson reminder for me too...and she really is lovely...I like that she is turned away....it pulls me in more wondering what her face looks like.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15597915315535016674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8032042591265058150.post-87772593576398162812013-01-20T17:05:56.647-06:002013-01-20T17:05:56.647-06:00A wonderful painting!!
